*NO GROOMING SERVICES ON TUESDAYS, SUNDAYS OR HOLIDAYS.
*RABIES VACCINE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CATS RECEIVING A GROOMING SERVICE (PROOF MUST BE PRIVIDED)
Except for INDIVIDUALS SERVICES, all baths and haircut appointments need to be dropped off either between 8:30-9 am OR between 12:30-1 pm on the day of your appointment Monday-Friday (depending if you have a morning or afternoon appointment), and between 9-9:30 am on Saturdays.
Because cats may get stressed during the grooming process, we MAY need to take multiple breaks to let your cat relax. This means the groom may take a little longer.
We cannot predict the length of time your cat will be at our resort as it is dependent on many factors (number of grooming appointments scheduled, temperament of each cat, condition of each cat's haircoat)
Please rest assured that we do all we can to make the cat grooming process as easy as possible on your kitty! We do not want them to become too anxious and as a result, not be able to finish the groom. We will call you as soon as the process is complete for you to pick up.
*In some cases, cats refuse to get a grooming service completed and may become fractious. If this happens, we will have no choice but to stop the grooming process to prevent anyone from getting injured. We are happy to try again with medication to calm them from your vet, although this is still not a guarantee it will work. Some cats may just need to be sedated by the vet to complete a groom.
*PLEASE SEE OUR BLOG SECTION FOR MORE INFO ABOUT FRACTIOUS CATS.
*SENIOR/GERIATRIC CATS:
As cats get older, their health begins to change and can affect their grooming needs. Their skin gets more fragile and can be easily nicked during a groom if there are mats to be removed. They can develop arthritis, which can make them uncomfortable and more irritated. We highly recommend bringing your senior cat in more often for grooms so we can get any matting taken care of and prevent it from getting severe. At some point it can become too dangerous for your older cat to continue with grooms, and they may need to be sedated by your vet to remove matting. If we can keep them groomed properly on a regular basis, then we can avoid unnecessary shaving. We will access each cat individually and advise.
