**CATS FROM THE SAME FAMILY THAT ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EAT THE SAME FOOD CANNOT BOARD TOGETHER! IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO SEPERATE THEM FOR FEEDING TIMES. WE MAY NOT HAVE THE ROOM TO DO SO AND A LOT OF THE TIME CATS DO NOT EAT RIGHT AWAY WHILE BOARDING. YOU NEED TO BOOK IN SEPERATE CONDOS IF YOUR CATS CANNOT EAT EACH OTHERS FOOD.**
**PLAYTIME POLICY: If your cat becomes stressed leaving their condo for playtime, we will not bring them to the playroom. We want your cat to be as much at ease as possible while staying with us. If they are happiest in their condo, then we will let them be to keep them calm. If your cat begins to show signs of any communicable illness (respiratory, intestinal, parasitic) they will NOT be permitted in the playrooms.
** CATS THAT ARE SHOWING ANY SIGNS OF RESPIRATORY ILLNESS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BOARD. IF YOUR CAT DEVELOPS ANY SIGNS WHILE BOARDING, THEY WILL BE MOVED TO A QUARANTINE AREA AND YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED.
VACCINES REQUIRED:
-FVRCP (Unless a letter from a licensed veterinarian states your cat should no longer receive it for health reasons)
-Rabies (NC State Law requires all domestic pets to have a rabies vaccine) ACCINES
**VACCINES ARE ONLY ACCEPTED IF GIVEN BY A LICENSED VETERINARIAN. "AT HOME" VACCINES ARE NOT VALID.
*ALL MALE CATS 6 MONTHS OF AGE AND OLDER MUST BE NEUTERED*
*PREFER FEMALE CATS TO BE SPAYED AT SAME AGE*
Cats become reproductively active beginning at 4 months of age. They become territorial and begin to "mark" by spraying urine, causing odor and damage to occur on surfaces. Therefore, we require the "snip snip!"
FLEAS:
All cats will be checked for fleas on day of arrival. If we find fleas, your cat will be given a bath, an oral Capstar to start killing all live fleas in 30 minutes, and treated with a topical flea product called CHERISTIN. Your cat will not be permitted in the playroom or sunroom for the first 24 hours of his or her stay while the fleas are dying. We must do this to prevent fleas from getting onto other boarders and the house cats. The bath and flea treatments will be at your expense.
**FLEAS MAY NOT BE NOTICEABLE RIGHT AWAY AS THEY CAN HIDE REALLY WELL! SO YOU MAY NOT GET A CALL TO REPORT FLEAS RIGHT AWAY.
WHAT TO BRING:
*We recommend bringing your cat's own food, as sometimes a change in diet can cause belly upset.
*Comfort items such as a shirt or little blanket that smells like home are welcome!
*Any special toys or treats
*ALL DRY FOOD MUST BE PLACED IN A PLASTIC CONTAINER WITH A LID.
*ALL MEDICATIONS MUST BE IN IT'S ORIGINAL BOTTLE FROM THE PHARMACY OR VET WITH THE CORRECT NAME AND DOSING INSTRUCTIONS ON THE LABEL.
